Sharyn Fitzpatrick-Skudneski, 69, and Judy Hoffman, 55, beamed from ear to ear as they entered the Paterno Family Experience Room on Friday morning. Two of the three superfans dubbed the “PSU Crazies” couldn’t help but reminisce on the past.
Fitzpatrick-Skudneski was immediately struck by the featured exhibit — an authentic replica of the late coach Joe Paterno’s office. It was complete with the exact furniture he used during his tenure including the Greenberg Chair, film machine, playbook notes and a box of Wheaties with his face on it from 2003.
“He’s finally getting honored,” Fitzpatrick-Skudneski said. “This touches the surface very little of who (Joe) was and what he's done.”
