Mizzou dedicated its new Energy Innovation Center; Department of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science; and Naka Hall auditorium to Alum David Payne following a $50 million donation. The University hopes the Payne Energy Innovation center will facilitate research leading to advancements in energy sustainability, generation and use. Researchers in fields like nuclear engineering, cybersecurity, AI, and quantum computing will collaborate in this center.
