For artist GeorgieMcausland, there’s endless inspiration to be found at her local park, “there’s so much action and community: ping pong, birthday parties, basketball, people using the outdoor gym, playing chess.” Working on this piece to develop her analogue animation skills, she drew each frame by hand using a lightbox “after analysing a YouTube video of a professional ping pong player”, using pastels to create a beautiful texture across each illustration, before combining them into a video piece. “I wanted him to look very handmade… so he’s far from perfect but a lot of fun to make” she tells us. #ItsNiceThat
