Pat McGregor was working a warehouse job through lockdown, buried under rejections, quietly talking himself out of a career in sport.
So he did the frightening thing. He resigned from the job that was making him miserable, leaned on the SportsGrad community for guidance, and threw everything at the search. About three weeks later, he landed his first real role in sport, as marketing coordinator at Little Athletics NSW.
From there it snowballed into working with Olympians at the NSW Institute of Sport, helping break a national membership record, and leading a brand through a historic merger.
Pat's story is proof that "realistic" is often just the story you talk yourself into.
