Houston Christian University joins the Houston community in mourning the loss of Mrs. Janice McNair, whose vision, generosity, and faith touched countless lives — including many right here at HCU. 🕊️ We were honored to present Mrs. McNair with our Legacy Award, given only twice in university history, in recognition of her lifelong commitment to advancing Christian higher education. Alongside her late husband Bob, she and the Robert and Janice McNair Foundation transformed our campus — McNair Football Plaza, McNair Hall, the McNair Graduate Studies Center, and the expanded Morris Family Center for Law & Liberty all stand as lasting reminders of her generosity. Guided by Luke 12:48 — "Everyone to whom much is given, of him will much be required" — Mrs. McNair lived a life devoted to lifting others up through education, medical research, and unwavering faith.
