This year’s recipient, professional baseball player Kelsie Whitmore (kelsie_whitmore), joined us at Citi Field for a special celebration of her career challenging expectations, expanding representation, and helping create a clearer, more visible pathway for girls and women in baseball ⚾ Here’s a behind-the-scenes look at Kelsie’s visit to Citi Field, including throwing out the ceremonial pitch 🧡 In Kelsie’s honor, the Amazin’ Mets Foundation also awarded a $5,000 grant to New York Girls Baseball (nygirlsbaseball), a nonprofit helping grow the game and expand access to baseball for girls.
