The Chicago White Sox have issued a statement saying they were “completely unaware” of the extent of a proposed Amtrak maintenance facility in the Bridgeport neighborhood. That facility, which would be constructed just to the west of Rate Field, would open up space along the Chicago River in the South Loop, where soon-to-be White Sox majority owner Justin Ishbia would potentially build a brand-new ballpark for the team when its lease expires in Bridgeport. #whitesox #bridgeport #southloop #chicago
