🚀 🛰️ NOW LIVE! The United Nations Satellite Operator Contact Hub (UN-SOCH): a new global tool to support safer, more sustainable operations in space. As Earth’s orbits get busier, close approaches between satellites become more likely. Operators may need to coordinate quickly to avoid a collision. But first, they need to know who to contact. The SOCH is a secure, neutral global directory where verified satellite operators can find the right operational contact when it matters most. It doesn’t track satellites or assess collision risk, but rather closes a coordination gap by helping establish communication channels when they are most needed. Participation is voluntary and free of charge. We invite all entities operating satellites around the world to join, and Member States to encourage their national operators to participate. 🔗 Get started: soch.unoosa.org (link in bio) #SpaceSustainability #SpaceSafety
