Syracuse quarterback Steve Angeli’s second game back from his Achilles injury saw him throw three second-half interceptions, one a pick-six, as the Orange fell 21-18 to California Saturday at the JMA Wireless Dome.
Cal’s first-year head coach Tosh Lupoi did not mince words on how Angeli fared Saturday, as his mistakes overshadowed his 306 passing yards and one touchdown.
“There was no doubt that QB was mentally and physically assaulted today,” Lupoi said.
