If you missed church today, read the Bible with me. Today’s word comes from Matthew 9:18-26: This passage tells the story of two people from very different circumstances. One was the daughter of an important leader, while the other was a woman who had been suffering and dealt with disease for twelve years. Their lives may have looked completely different, but they both needed the same thing: Jesus. The woman believed that if she could just touch the edge of Jesus’ clothing, she would be healed. She didn’t allow her situation, her struggles, or what others may have thought about her to stop her from reaching toward Him. Jesus told her, “Your faith has healed you.” The leader was also facing a situation that looked impossible. His daughter had died, but he still came to Jesus believing that He had the power to restore her.
