A Phoenix homeowner captured the exact moment a massive saguaro came crashing down after standing outside the property for nearly 50 years. 🌵😳 The cactus had grown to nearly twice the height of the home before its arms reportedly began drooping during Arizona’s brutal 2023 summer. That was enough for the homeowner to set up a camera, and not long after, the entire saguaro split near the base and collapsed. The impact reportedly shook the house and barely missed a parked car. Saguaros can survive for well over a century, but prolonged extreme heat, drought stress, rot and other internal damage can eventually weaken even some of the largest, oldest cacti in the Valley.
