We’re excited to welcome José Melendez to our Inspiring Voices Series! José is an experienced agricultural specialist with a passion for sustainable farming. This week, he’ll be sharing his knowledge with students in our Village Book Builders libraries in Mexico and Peru—focusing on the fascinating topic of pecan cultivation! From soil preparation to harvesting, José will guide our learners through the journey of growing pecans—one of the most nutritious and economically valuable nuts in the world. Students will discover how agriculture connects to their communities, their environment, and their future. This is more than a lesson in farming—it’s a lesson in growth, resilience, and the value of nurturing something from the ground up. Let’s grow knowledge together! #InspiringVoices #VillageBookBuilders #JoséMelendez #PecanCultivation #AgroEducation #GrowingFutures #MexicoReads #PeruReads #SustainableFarming #BooksAndBeyond #ConnectingCommunities #EducationForAll
