🔎 Today’s Daily Sift: Longevity Longevity is entering its clinical era. An experimental drug developed for lung disease is producing an unexpected aging signal. Rentosertib, created by Insilico Medicine, was studied in 42 patients with idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis. Researchers analyzed their blood using six independent biological aging clocks. Across the measures, treated patients showed reductions in predicted biological age, with some estimates suggesting roughly three to four years. That does not mean the drug reverses aging. The trial was small. Aging clocks remain imperfect. And lifespan was not measured. But the signal matters. A drug targeting one age related disease may also be influencing deeper biology shared across aging itself. Then longevity moved further into medicine. This morning Elysium Health officially opened a longevity institute combining physician directed care, diagnostics, prescriptions, supplements, peptides, and continuous monitoring. The fi...
