September is California Wine Month and this month celebrates the annual grape harvest and California’s role as the top wine producer in the United States. To help us spread the word and how you can celebrate this month, folks from California Grown stopped by the print shop at the Sacramento History Museum! CA GROWN is California’s agricultural marketing program and connects people with the farmers, ranchers, and farmworkers who produce our food in the Golden State. We are printing a NEW (to the print shop) photo engraving for this occasion! In this video, Aida and Jared letterpress printed an engraving that depicts 3 barrels with wine grapes surrounding them. The text below, “California Wine Month,” was set in 30 point Caslon font.
