Happy Labor Day from all of us at the Sacramento History Museum! We are open today! For today, Howard letterpress printed a photo engraving from the Brett from Pennsylvania Collection. The print depicts a group of people gathering around a notice reminding people to register to vote for the midterm Congressional elections. This cut was made in 1978 because “LABOR DAY 1978” is to the left of the image. It was published in the AFL-CIO News. The artwork was designed by Bernard Seaman, one of the editorial cartoonists for the newspaper.
