This National Recovery Month, PBS’ Resolve to Solve is highlighting how neuroscience is changing what’s possible in addiction treatment and recovery. Tomorrow’s episode features Dr. Ali Rezai and the work of the WVU Rockefeller Neuroscience Institute, tracing the evolution of our research from pioneering deep brain stimulation for substance use disorder to advancing noninvasive approaches designed to expand treatment options for patients. At RNI, we are continuing to study addiction as a chronic brain disease and exploring how technologies such as focused ultrasound can complement the broader continuum of evidence-based care.
