Everyone is packing up right now. This is usually when I would be turning up on a day ticket. Three days of bait has gone into that lake over the bank holiday. Every swim has had someone in it since Friday, and most of them will be on the motorway within the hour. What is left is a lake full of fish that have been pushed around all weekend, are finally getting some peace, and have a load of free bait sat on the bottom. Last light after a busy weekend can often be one of the best windows to get a bite, and hardly anyone stays for it.
