Time moves slower in Çeşme... 🌊 The turquoise water, the little fishing boats like this one named AVARA, and that sweet mastic scent in the air everywhere. A little save-worthy Çeşme note for you - part 1: 🤍 Mastic / Damla Sakızı - it only grows here on the Çeşme Peninsula and Chios Island. That’s why everything has it - coffee, ice cream, even pudding. 🍋 Homemade mastic lemonade - I’ve never tasted anything like it. Less sweet, super refreshing, with that hint of mastic. 🌿 Olive oil dishes / Zeytinyağlılar - Artichokes, stuffed zucchini flowers, sea beans... all the green, seasonal veggies cooked the Aegean way.
