I didn’t grow up loving raab—in fact, my dadi had to convince me to have it! 😂❤️
Years later, my sister made it exactly the way my baa used to, and one sip took me straight back to my childhood. 🥹 That’s when I truly fell in love with it.
Now, this simple, comforting raab is one of my absolute favorites—and such a special recipe for parnu. It is also traditionally enjoyed by nursing mothers as a nourishing postpartum drink. ❤️
✨ Gundar Na Raab
• 1 ½ tsp ghee
• 1 tbsp gundar (edible gum)
• ½ tsp ginger powder
• 3–4 strands saffron
• ½ tsp ganthoda (long pepper powder/peepramul)
• 1 ½ tbsp sugar
• ¼ tsp cardamom powder
• 1 tsp desiccated coconut
• 1 tsp chopped almonds
• 1 ½ cups water

Heat ghee → fry gundar until crispy → add water → add ginger, cardamom, ganthoda, and saffron → cook for 2 minutes → add coconut and almon...
