A career first — times two. 🏆🏆 Still a little surreal to type this, but I received my first TWO Mid-America Regional Emmy nominations!! 🏆 News Feature – Light — “The Haunting of the Phoenix” Sharon Chen & Rilee Malloy 🏆 Diversity/Equity/Inclusion — “A Historic First—Twice” Janae Hancock & Rilee Malloy Both of these stories came during my first year in news and at my first job out of college, which makes this recognition mean even more. I’m especially grateful that I get to share these nominations with janaehancocktv and sharonchentv — two incredible storytellers who trusted me behind the camera to help bring their stories to life.
