Today marks the 25th anniversary of the 9/11 attacks, when nearly 3,000 people were killed in a series of terrorist attacks across the US. This was a day that transformed U.S. security policy and happened nearly a decade before most current SM East students were born. History teacher Jenny Jordan recalls watching the events unfold live with her mom and aunt at her house when she was in eighth grade. She describes how she felt a pit in her stomach and sadness for all the people who had died. “I remember just the rest of the day, we all just were glued to the TV, just watching the footage,” Jordan said. “When the first plane hit, it was like, ‘Was it an accident? Did something just happen?’ and then when the second plane hit, you’re like, ‘Oh, this is on purpose.’” To read more, click the link in bio. #storybywillowroberts #socialmediabybridgetdean #designbylibbyfitzpatrick
