Woken up with a bad migraine?
Well, now you might not need to make an appointment with your GP or wait for a prescription.
From this autumn in England, the NHS has decided that more common conditions can now be dealt with by your pharmacist.
The five conditions added to the list are: low frequency migraines in adults, hay fever or allergic rhinitis in children, ear infections in adults, mild to moderate acne in young people and adults and mild skin infections and scabies.
These are on top of seven other conditions that they could already prescribe medication for, which are: sinusitis, a sore throat, earache, impetigo, insect bites, shingles, and simple urinary tract infections.
NHS England said it's to take the load off busy GPs and A&E departments and to get people treated quickly.
At the start, a few hundred chemists will offer treatment for the five new conditions, but eventually it will be offered at thousands of NHS pharmacies across England.
