Kaja Kallas, the EU's top diplomat, has said that Russian strikes which hit a Warsaw-bound train near Ukraine's border with Poland shortly after top Western figures passed through were meant to 'scare' off Kyiv's backers. A Russian drone hit a passenger train on Ukraine's border with the NATO member on Sunday, shortly after former British Prime Minister Boris Johnson and other European diplomats had used the same line. 'It is clearly meant to scare Western countries from supporting Ukraine, from going to Ukraine to show support,' foreign policy chief Kallas said, urging Kyiv's backers to do 'the opposite'. #russia #ukraine #kallas #russianstrikes #europe #eu
