25 YEARS LATER… THEY CAME TOGETHER AGAIN.
At today’s Virginia Beach Fire Department 25th Anniversary 9/11 Memorial Ceremony, members of Virginia Task Force Two who responded to the Pentagon following the terrorist attacks of September 11, 2001, reunited with their teammates to remember, honor and pay tribute to those who perished that day.
For these Task Force members, September 11 is more than a date in history. It is a shared experience that forever connected them.
Twenty-five years later, seeing one another again brought a powerful mix of emotions—memories of where they were, what they saw, what they endured, and the lives they came together to save. They stood side by side once again, just as they had at the Pentagon a quarter-century ago.
Time may have passed, but the bond forged during that deployment remains.
