The Emmy-winning actress and former The View co-host is heading back to Broadway and making Disney history in the process. Shepherd will become the first woman ever to play the Genie in a Disney-produced production of Aladdin when she takes the stage this fall. 👏🏾 Her limited run begins October 16 and runs through January 3, 2027, giving audiences a whole new Genie to fall in love with. The casting also marks Shepherd’s second Broadway production, following her 2014 debut in Rodgers + Hammerstein’s Cinderella. But perhaps the most beautiful part?
