Swayvo Twain (son of the late music legends D’Angelo and Angie Stone) is stepping onto the big screen for the first time, and he’s taking on one of hip-hop’s most iconic figures: The Notorious B.I.G. Twain, whose real name is Michael D’Angelo Archer II, has been cast as Biggie in the upcoming Snoop Dogg biopic, Snoop, directed by Craig Brewer. And the casting feels especially fitting. Swayvo is a budding recording artist himself, carrying on the musical legacy of both of his parents. Now, he’ll portray Biggie during a pivotal chapter in Snoop’s story and one that connects directly to the legendary East Coast/West Coast era of hip-hop. He’ll join a stacked cast that includes Jonathan Daviss as Snoop Dogg, Myles Bullock as Dr. Dre and Lauren London as Snoop’s late mother, Beverly Tate. The film is currently slated for a theatrical release on August 6, 2027. #SwayvoTwain #NotoriousBIG #SnoopDogg #HipHop #BlackHollywood
