If you study Garvey and truly understand his message, I believe he would want us to be nothing less than BLACK CAPITALISTS. Not just workers. Not just materialistic consumers. But owners, builders, producers, employers, investors, and inventors. Because being a Black capitalist means using ownership, business, and investment to strengthen Black people and build stronger Black communities.
