September is Childhood Cancer Awareness Month, a time to recognize the courage of children, adolescents, young adults, and families facing cancer.
The Pediatric Adolescent and Young Adult (PAYA) Hematology and Oncology program at MedStar Georgetown University Hospital provides expert, personalized care for patients from birth through age 39. Designed to meet the unique needs of young patients, the program offers a whole-person approach that includes advanced treatment options, access to clinical trials, psychosocial support, fertility preservation counseling, and long-term survivorship care.
This month, we honor the strength of young patients and survivors, and the families and care teams who support them every step of the way.
