Gullfoss doesn’t hold back! Roughly five thousand cubic feet of water a second crash through here, carved out by glacial floods at the end of the last ice age. Two drops, thirty six feet then sixty nine feet, into a canyon that just swallows the noise whole. My son and I just stood there, still, feeling something bigger than words.
