One hundred days into leading the Orleans Parish Sheriff’s Office, Sheriff Michelle Woodfork began this moment grounded in faith and surrounded by the people who have been part of the journey. Then came the responsibility of facing the public. She spoke about progress made, challenges that remain and the work still ahead. Because 100 days isn’t a finish line. It is an early chapter in a much larger story of leadership, accountability and service. The office carries her name. The commission marks the responsibility. The uniform represents the institution. But none of those things make leadership easy. There is still work to do. Decisions to make. Trust to build.
100 days have passed.
And perhaps the most important part of the story is what happens next.
