Quentin Tarantino wrote The Popinjay Cavalier and will direct it himself when it opens in London’s West End in spring 2027. It is the first stage work of his career, a comedy of deception and disguise set in 1830s Europe. Sacha Baron Cohen takes the title role. ㅤ Tarantino has directed nine features, among them Pulp Fiction and Once Upon a Time in Hollywood, always in a medium where a take can be cut, reshot and assembled later.
