Incredible footage shows Kai the lion growling at his caretakers as they approach, giving a clear warning that he was uncomfortable with them being nearby. The unusual reaction was linked to a dart stick used to safely administer medication, which Kai has learned to associate with veterinary treatment. Rather than an attack, the growl was a warning for the caretakers to give him more space - a reminder of how closely animal staff must read the behavior of large predators. 🎥 @felidae_centre #lion #viral #nature #southafrica #animals
