At Beijing’s World Humanoid Robot Games, engineers worked through the night to keep their unusual competitor in peak condition.⁣ ⁣ Their efforts paid off.⁣ ⁣ Tiangong Ultra ran 100 meters in 8.64 seconds — almost a full second faster than Usain Bolt’s 9.58-second human world record.⁣ ⁣ For the team behind the robot, Ultra is more than a machine. Jack Guo, head of the Humanoid Innovation Department at the Beijing Humanoid Robot Innovation Center, describes it as a “comrade-in-arms” after years of competing together.⁣ ⁣ #TiangongUltra #HumanoidRobot #Robotics #China
