LIV Golf has filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection in New Jersey, less than five years after its launch disrupted the professional golf world and created a major split with the PGA Tour.
The filing offers a rare look into the league’s finances, listing assets of between $100 million and $500 million and liabilities ranging from $500 million to $1 billion.
Several high-profile players are listed as creditors who are still owed millions of dollars. Jon Rahm has the largest claim at $7.5 million, followed by Bryson DeChambeau at $5.7 million and Dustin Johnson at $5.5 million.
Other players listed include Cameron Smith, who is owed $4.8 million, Tyrrell Hatton with $3.4 million and Brooks Koepka with $1.7 million. Koepka left LIV Golf at the start of 2026.
