Remember when, 7 years ago. I bought an E28 parts car for the interior, and as much as hindsight wishes I brought this shell back to life, the time and Sam wasnt right. I kept the hood though, and in-turn decided to get patriotic, similar to many more, like Ken Block’s Ford Escort of the time. Then it was time for a hero image to commemorate the setup. Without using a tube that would normally shoot them into the sky, awaxakins set a couple firework mortar shells on the ground, while I lit the front end with my iPhone on a probably 30 second exposure. This exact location was a newly paved street in a still undeveloped barren area called Vineyard, UT. This would now be directly in front of 20 tightly knit houses. Today this hood sits along an overgrown fence in my backyard, patina’d (next to a rusty fender from my first BMW, an E30); even more fitting than before?
