Our kids aren’t teenagers yet 😢 but the time to prepare for their online future is before they get there. We know we won’t be able to keep them offline forever, so attending @instagram ’s ScreenSmart event gave us a better understanding of the tools available to help families navigate social media safely. We learned that Instagram Teen Accounts include built-in protections that limit who can contact teens and the content they see. Instagram is also working to make their experience more age-appropriate, with content guided by 13+ movie ratings and feedback from parents. For us, it’s not about controlling every click. It’s about staying informed, starting these conversations early, and making sure our kids can explore what they love while knowing we’re still there to guide them.
