It’s a tricky thing, capturing lightning and split seconds of peak adrenaline. There’s always a shared absolute though- you’ll know when you’ve captured it. That split millisecond of the shutter opening and closing, followed by the weeks of waiting for the roll to come back with small, inverse images of the moments you documented. That wave of awe you feel when scrolling through the scans, realizing you caught details you weren’t expecting, or maybe don’t remember. All these feelings keep us coming back to film; the medium of patience, practice, and just a little bit of luck.
