In a high-scoring affair, No. 5 Syracuse ended No. 6 Duke's undefeated reign with a 16-15 victory. After the two squads combined for 19 first-half goals, the Orange routed the Blue Devils 7-4 for the remainder of the game. SU was led by an array of nine scorers, with Finn Thomson and Payton Anderson spearheading it with hat tricks. Joey Spallina’s six points were SU’s most, and he reached 300 career points, another stepping stone toward eclipsing Mike Powell’s record. While the Blue Devils nabbed 10 first-half scores, it marked the first time they trailed through three quarters this season. SU pulled away with Luke Rhoa’s dagger with under three minutes left, negating Max Sloat’s late goal. Click the link in our bio to learn more. Photographs by @eli.schwartz.photo.
