NBC Sports broadcaster and alum Mike Tirico will be the commencement speaker at Syracuse University’s 2026 graduation ceremony on May 10, according to a Thursday campus-wide email.
Tiricio, who graduated in 1988, has worked as a broadcaster for NBC Sports’ coverage of the NFL and the Olympics. The 59-year-old was also a member of SU’s Chancellor Search Committee that chose Mike Haynie as Syracuse University’s 13th chancellor, and the committee that hired Bryan Blair as director of athletics.
“It is an incredible honor to be asked to address the Class of 2026 and welcome them to our proud family of Orange alums,” Tirico said in the release.
