Syracuse attack Joey Spallina was selected No. 3 overall by the Maryland Whipsnakes in the 2026 Premier Lacrosse League College Draft Tuesday. The No. 1 recruit in the 2022 recruiting class, Spallina is the first SU player to be selected in the draft. In his four seasons, Spallina has become the face of Syracuse’s program turnaround. Currently with 306 career points, he’s set to break the all-time program record this weekend versus Colgate. The attack’s senior season has seen several ups and downs. Spallina was held pointless twice for the first time since 2024. But he’s recovered with several highs, including four games with at least seven points. Spallina's 60 points top the ACC and are second in the country. Click the link in our bio to learn more. Photograph by @eli.schwartz.photo.
