Inhaling smoke like a black hole. The CBR1000RR-R Fireblade's front intake system was developed directly from Honda's RC213V-S MotoGP prototype — engineered not just to channel air into the engine but to actively manage airflow across the entire front end of the machine at racing speed. What looks like a design detail is a precisely calculated pressure recovery system that increases ram air pressure as speed rises, feeding the 214 horsepower inline-four more efficiently at the top of the rev range than any static dyno figure can represent. The smoke test does not lie. Everything entering that intake was always going exactly where Honda intended it to go. Does the Fireblade's aerodynamic package put it ahead of its European rivals?
