MTT 420RR. The only production motorcycle on the planet powered by a helicopter engine. Built by Marine Turbine Technologies in Louisiana, the 420RR is powered by a Rolls-Royce M250-C20B gas turbine - the same engine found in the Bell 206 JetRanger helicopter, producing 420 horsepower and 500 ft-lbs of torque. Top speed is a gearing-limited 273mph — limited not by power but by the fact that no tyre currently exists that can safely handle more. It runs on diesel, kerosene, or Jet-A fuel, features a two-speed automatic transmission, Öhlins suspension, ISR brakes, and BST carbon fibre wheels — and is hand built to order at a rate of five units per year, priced at $275,000 each. Jay Leno, who owns one, described riding it as "the hand of God pushing you in the back." The Kawasaki H2R produces 300 horsepower and is considered extreme.
