One of fewer than ten known, this Cartier dual time watch is not to be missed at our upcoming
#SothebysHongKong Important Watches sale. Appearing on the international market for the first time, it ranks among the rarest vintage timepieces ever produced by the French maison.
Housed in a classic yellow-gold Cintrée case, the watch is powered by two independent Jaeger-LeCoultre movements and displays both home and local time—a highly sophisticated concept at a moment when international travel was entering its golden age.
Equally compelling is its provenance. Originally commissioned in the 1970s for a member of a European aristocratic family, its engraved initials on the caseback are also believed to reference a German countess.
Bid now on this and more at the link in bio ahead of the live Important Watches sale on 18-19 September.
