We took a tip from Southern grandmothers, recruiting (and recycling) a brown-paper grocery bag to do the hard work. 🙌 Ingredients: - 2 Tbsp. Creole seasoning - 1 Tbsp. kosher salt - 1 Tbsp. black pepper - 1 tsp. smoked paprika - 1 tsp. cayenne pepper - 1 tsp. garlic powder - 2 cups whole buttermilk - 2 (3-lb.) whole chickens, each cut into 8 pieces - 2 cups all-purpose flour - Neutral cooking oil (such as peanut oil or canola oil) Directions: 1. Stir together Creole seasoning, salt, black pepper, smoked paprika, cayenne pepper, and garlic powder in a small bowl until combined.
