170 to 182 pounds this offseason! When Simon committed to UMass Lowell, he knew he needed to arrive on campus stronger, more stable, and better prepared to compete. The challenge was doing it from more than 150 miles away. Early on, we identified a few priorities: add quality body weight, build strength around the shoulder and elbow, and clean up some early torso rotation that was limiting how efficiently he transferred energy. Through consistent video review, remote check-ins, and periodic force plate testing, we were able to make adjustments throughout the entire offseason. The result? Simon added 12 pounds, gained velocity, and went 7-1 with a 1.29 ERA, 55 strikeouts, and just 7 earned runs allowed in 38 innings this spring. The work doesn't stop there. Now the focus shifts to preparing for UMass Lowell and making sure he's physically ready to hit the ground running when he arrives on campus. #PitchingCoach #HowToThrowHarder #ThrowHarder #IncreaseVelocity #PitchingVelocity #Ba...
