Before they became part of Trinity tennis history, they were busy making it. 🎾
In 1963, Trinity’s men’s tennis team completed its third consecutive undefeated season and extended what became a 60-match winning streak.
The roster included Wimbledon champion Chuck McKinley ’64, U.S. National Championships runner-up Frank Froehling ’64, and Trinity’s first tennis All-Americans, McKinley and Butch Newman ’65.
More than six decades later, the team will be inducted into the Trinity Athletics Hall of Fame on Oct. 17 during Alumni Weekend. 🐯
