There's a brand new tool hiding inside Camera Raw called the Vectorscope, and it finally gives you an accurate, measurable way to nail skin tone instead of trusting your eyes, which change with every monitor and every room you edit in.
In this tutorial, we break down how to turn on the Vectorscope and Skin Tone Indicator, read Lab Color values with the Color Sampler tool, mask out just the skin using Select People, and correct color in the right order -- Temperature, then Tint, then Saturation -- until your skin tone lands right on the line. We also cover what to do when Photoshop's AI can't find your subject, and how to blend a "perfect" correction back in with natural warmth using the mask's Amount slider. We're even including a handy PDF Guide!
