I mentioned in a recent post that so many of my charity shop finds have stories behind them, and this gorgeous Traditional Black Watch Tartan open fronted jacket is another example.
This jacket was a fabulous charity-shop find from House of Bruar — the Scottish luxury country clothing company renowned for its beautifully made tweed, tartan, knitwear and classic heritage style.
I trawled the House of Bruar website to try and find its new price but to no avail. Other similar style jackets were retailing for over £200 (US$260) new.
My jacket cost me £8 (US$10.40) 😲
The House of Bruar meets Bentley Girl 🤣
My midaxi swing skirt was £2 (US$2.60)
The Tam O'Shanter I am wearing is a traditional Scottish beret, this example, also in Black Watch Tartan, was new from eBay - £6 (US$7.80)
Green roll neck top new from eBay - £8 (US9.10)
Sunglasses new from eBay - £5 (US6.50)
Vintage Doctors Bag second hand from a chariry shop - £3 (US$3.90)
Total outfit cost - £32 (US41.60)
High style.
