⚠️ Trigger warning: domestic violence. ⚠️⁣ ⁣ Reminder that Alexander Zverev has faced two separate domestic violence allegations. ⁣ ⁣ The first came in 2020, when his ex-girlfriend Olya Sharypova accused him of physical and emotional abuse, including alleged incidents at the 2019 US Open and Laver Cup. Zverev has consistently denied the allegations. An independent ATP investigation concluded in 2023 that there was insufficient evidence to substantiate the allegations, and no disciplinary action was taken.⁣ ⁣ The second case involved Brenda Patea, the mother of Zverev’s child, who accused him of physical abuse stemming from a 2020 argument in Berlin. A German court issued a penalty order in 2023, which Zverev contested.
