28 years ago today, MTV’s TRL debuted! 🎶 Premiering on September 14, 1998, MTV’s Total Request Live (TRL) was a daily afternoon countdown show that played the day’s ten most-requested music videos based on viewer votes. Originally hosted by Carson Daly from MTV’s iconic Times Square studios, the program quickly became a defining cultural touchstone for late-‘90s and early-2000s pop, hip-hop, and alternative music. #mtv #trl #nostalgia #90s #90smusic
